The Saw Doctors are back with a brand new song ahead of their sell-out UK tour – and they’re turned the spotlight on the rugged beauty of Joyce Country, showered in the late summer sun, with a new video that will premiere this Friday to coincide with the new single’s release.
The band – who play a major London concert next month at the famous Hammersmith Apollo – travelled west to Finny last week to film a music video for I Love To Go Awanderin’, which is released by Shamtown Records tomorrow (Friday) via iTunes, Spotify and all the streaming platforms.
The video features Davy Carton and Leo Moran riding their electric bikes around the rugged mountain roads of Connemara, with video director Steven Lock capturing the splendour of Lough Nafooey – from the ground and the air above – as the Tuam shams freewheel high above the beautiful valley on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year.
I Love To Go Awanderin’ is an original song, written by Davy and Leo, evoking to the golden autumn days of their schooldays childhood in the West of Ireland.
The video, which was also filmed at a house concert in Tuam, gets its world premiere on YouTube this Friday at 10am.
All of this comes in the week that the band also confirmed another major gig – this one at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on Friday, November 29. Tickets for that also go on sale this Friday at 9am from www.ticketmaster.ie.
