A man’s been taken to UHG with serious injuries following a road traffic collision on the M18 near Gort.
The single vehicle collision happened on the southbound side at Junction 16 in Gort shortly after 9am.
The road was fully closed in both directions between Junctions 15 and 16 for a time to allow for the medical evacuation of the man in his 70’s.
He was taken to UHG, where his condition is described as serious but not life-threatening.
