UK stag parties have fallen out of love with Las Vegas – preferring to whoop it up in Galway instead!
That’s according to British stag party specialists, Last Night of Freedom, who have revealed that, last year, they organised more trips to Galway than ‘Sin City’!
“Business is now so bad, we are set to wash our hands with Vegas, which would have been unthinkable just a decade ago when The Hangover sparked a huge surge in demand for trips,” revealed Matt Mavir, MD of Last Night of Freedom.
They put the fall-off down to rising flight prices coupled with the cost-of-living – but whatever about transatlantic sorties, the company revealed that bookings to Galway were up by 68 per cent in 2022 over 2019 –the last year without Covid restrictions.
“All of our bookings this year have been with stags. It is becoming very popular with stags – a great alterative to Dublin,” added Mr Mavir.
