Concerned parents in Tuam are urging people to sign their petition to introduce speed ramps and other safety measures on the Dublin Road.
Parents at the Tuam Educate Together National School are worried as their children have to cross a busy road to access sports facilities.
They’re asking the Ministers for Education and Transport for speed ramps, a school warden and illuminated speed signs indicating the recommened speed is 30km per hour.
The petition, which is also available online, has already gathered 500 signatures and spokesperson Sarah Reynolds says they just want their children to be safe:
