This is the sixth year running that Irish harpers are inviting fellow harpers everywhere to join in celebrating a 1000-year-old musical tradition.
In Galway, there will be a series of free events in venues throughout the city.
The City Museum will exhibition of harp-making by Galway makers, Ériú Harps and Callan Harps That’s from 11am-1pm.
Meanwhile, local harpers and their students will play a variety of harps, from the early Irish harp – strung with brass – to the modern Irish harp.
Participants will include Kathleen Loughnane and Áine Ní Shioradáin on modern Irish harp and Natalia Surina and Maura Uí Chróinín on historical harps. That’s also from 11am-1pm.
