Galway League looking for revenge in repeat of final

For the second year in succession the Galway League and Cork League will contest the FAI Youth Inter-League final in Eamonn Deacy Park and the Dyke Road venue will host the event on Sunday at 2pm.
The Galway side were impressive winners in their three outings to date, as they won both their group game in comfort as they recorded a 3-1 away win over Limerick in their opener with Gusi Khumalo (two) and Conor Keady finding the net.
They followed that up with a 4-0 home success over Clare with Evan Moran (two), Piotrik Szymanski and Ethan McCauley taking the scoring honours on this occasion. The competition certainly got stiffer in the semi-final and where a smashing well worked team goal by Charlie Quinn gave them a 3-2 win over Donegal. Pietrek Syzmanski and Oisin Coyne (pen) contributed the other goals in the opening half when the contest in the balance at 2-2.
All the players involved are associated with Maree/Oranmore, Salthill Devon, Mervue United and Knocknacarra. The management team consists of Tom Reddington, Ger Curran, Colm Brannigan, Paul Healy and Seamus McWalter (physio).
Meanwhile Cork were impressive 3-0 away winners over Mayo in the semi-final and draw the majority of their players from Carrigaline United, College Corinthians and Ringmahon Rangers. They took the title with a 1-0 win last year.
