Targeted and strategic investment is need to protect the post office network across Galway from closure.

That’s according to Galway East TD Louis O’ Hara, following a recent warning from the Irish Postmasters Union that 40 percent of offices nationwide are at risk.

Figures provided this week also showed that 21 post offices have closed in Galway over the past 10 years.

Speaking to Galway Talks, Sinn Fein Deputy O’ Hara says post offices are vital hubs in local communities.
