Galway firm, O’Malley Construction, has just released their latest development, Maolchnoc, located on the Ballymoneen Road on the western side of the city.
O’Malley’s has helped shape many communities in Galway over the past 50 years of building residential developments throughout the city.
Maolchnoc offers a range of spacious 3 and 4 bedroom house styles all built using traditional methods, to the highest standards, as well as modern 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments/duplex.
The scheme will comprise 242 units in total, built over a number of phases, and follows the recent completions of its Reilean, Tuairín and Cúirt Bhoirne developments, all located in the Roscam area on the eastern side of the city.
The Maolchnoc houses were designed by McCrossan O’Rourke Manning Architects and include a brick front elevation with granite stone window sills and heads, parking on cobblelock paved driveways for two vehicles.
The latest standards of construction will be supplemented with concrete floors and stairs to the upper floor which gives greater sound proofing and fire resistance. Underfloor heating is also being provided on the ground floor which will complement the main Air source Heat Pump system and ensure a BER rating of A2 for each house. All houses are wired for future Internally, the layouts are focused on providing bright, usable living spaces with generous storage and comfortable surroundings. Each home comes with a fully tiled main bathroom and separate en suite off the main bedroom.
