Strong interest in the properties for sale was recorded in the latest auction by online bidding platform iamsold.
Among the properties sold were:
Aille Phreachain, Furbo. A well-located detached residence which was sold by Michelle Burke Auctioneer. Requiring total renovation, this was an opportunity to purchase a property that can be transformed into a fine home or an exceptionally positioned holiday home. Therefore, it attracted a wide variety of potential buyers. It sold for €218,000, 25% more than the original listed price, after only three weeks on the market and 19 online bids received.
Sold by James Kilcoyne Ltd on Main Street, Ballaghaderreen was the former ‘Lough Gara Hotel’, which is now derelict. It offers great development potential and generated a lot of interest from local investors and builders. The property sold via the online auction for €230,000.
Gerry Rowland Auctioneer in Ballina, offered Rathoonagh, Ballycastle, Mayo for sale on the iamsold platform. This four-bed detached house with 7.75 acres of land has much to offer prospective buyers. A lot of interest was generated in the home, which is only five minutes from Ballycastle village, before it was successfully sold for €220,000.
Shane May, Sales Manager with iamsold, said: “One of our primary goals over the last few years has been to shorten the conveyance process. When it comes to private treaty transactions, once an offer is accepted by a vendor, it usually takes five to six months for the property to close. While with the iamsold platform, the average time from bid acceptance to closing is five to six weeks.”
The company is currently accepting entries for its ongoing online auctions during August along with further scheduled dates on September 7 and October 12.
