Quay Street welcomes new pub

A new-look, new-feel pub has opened on Galway City’s Quay Street. M. Fitzgerald’s is the newest bar in town, while also billing itself as a traditional Irish pub.

It’s located where Kirwan’s Lane meets Quay Street, in Galway’s Latin Quarter, where 1520 Bar used to be.

  1. Fitzgerald’s offers an extensive food menu, where traditional options like fish and chips, beef and Guinness stew, mashed potatoes and steamed veg are available alongside gourmet burgers and butter chicken curries.

The drink offerings include whiskies, stout and beer as well as a wide variety of handcrafted cocktails in Penny Bar. And there’s live music seven nights a week from some of Galway’s top       musicians.
