Health, Beauty and Lifestyle with Denise McNamara
A podcast teaching us how to live simply from the creator of luxury candles and a premium skincare range was so successful that two more series are to be released. Simply Holistic Living struck a chord with those who downloaded it for its positivity and advice on how to live our best lives.
Julie Clarke, based in Kinvara, explains that the theme of the second series to be launched this week is connection.
“Connection with ourselves, nature and the community around us.“
This series has six episodes lasting between 20 and 30 minutes and features interviews with some fascinating guests. Among them, horsewoman and yoga teacher in Kylebrack, Loughrea, Tracie Burroughs and Oranmore nutritionist Claire Grady. There is also a guided meditation from Kelly Marie Mills, an Ayurvedic Living Educator based in Clarinbridge.
Former Blizzards lead singer and Leinster Rugby player Niall Breslin or Bressie shares his thoughts mental health after over a decade as a mental health activist. Physiotherapist Rory O’Neill and Psychotherapist Kathy Crinion make up the rest of the team in the series.
Julie interviews Tracie, a passionate lifelong horsewoman and yoga practitioner originally from the United States who settled in the west of Ireland for 17 years, after she has returned from teaching a course at the Slieve Aughty Centre in Kylebrack. The courses, called Horseback Yoga, combine horsemanship and yoga for people of all ages.
“She believes that working with and riding horses should be a harmonious, joyous experience, and when we are flexible, balanced, strong, calm and focused, our horses can be as well,” explains Julie.
