A pioneering AI company based in Galway has won the ‘Start-up Technology Company of the Year’ at the prestigious CIO & IT Leaders Summit Awards held last week in Dublin.
Galvia, based in Mervue Business Park, is an AI-powered platform that integrates data from multiple sources to deliver secure, scalable, and insightful solutions that enhance business decision-making.
And these awards celebrate the remarkable talent and achievements within the IT community across the island of Ireland, shining a spotlight on leaders and teams driving innovation, excellence, and positive change.
Galvia’s success is rooted in its commitment to solving customer Data and AI concerns, explained a spokesperson.
By integrating data from various sources, Galvia generates what it calls ‘meaningful insights in a safe, secure, and scalable way’.
“Our deep insights and visualisations transform business decision-making, allowing teams to focus on generating revenue, creating meaningful engagements, and achieving sustainable growth,” they added.
Accepting the award on behalf of Galvia, CEO & Founder John Clancy said they were ‘thrilled and proud of this recognition and to be amongst such an esteemed list of companies’.
“Our journey over the past few years has been about innovation, resilience, and growth,” he said.
“We’ve built trust with major companies and expanded our reach from Galway to the UK and Germany, including the University of Galway, NTT DATA Business Solutions, the University of Cambridge, and Cognizant,” he added.
Mr Clancy went on to emphasise the importance of preparing data to fully harness AI’s potential as it becomes increasingly commoditised.
“As AI technology advances, the key to staying competitive lies in preparing and optimising your data. At Galvia, we are dedicated to helping medium to large enterprises unlock the immense potential of AI,” he said.
