Galway’s Seamus Fahey of ICS Medical Devices in Ballybrit is travelling to Japan today on Ireland’s biggest annual unofficial trade mission.
He is part of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year CEO Retreat which is included in the activities for nominees of the prestigious competition which takes place in November.
Seamus is competing in the International Category where he will be up against 23 other entrepreneurs across various sectors including media, health, manufacturing, life sciences, consumer technology and financial services.
The entrepreneurs will visit the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the World Expo in Osaka and Ireland House Tokyo.
In addition they will meet with Japanese business leaders from SoftBank Corporation, Sony Ventures Corporation and Yamaha Motors.
Many already conduct business in Japan, while others are investigating new market opportunities.
