Country singer Louise Morrissey will be joined by special guests when she brings her 35th anniversary celebration show to Ballinasloe’s Shearwater Hotel next Thursday, June 22.

The multi-award-winning artist is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading singers and performers, both in the UK and the US as well as here at home. Her numerous awards and accolades include the prestigious European Country Music Gold Star Award, while she has toured with legends such as Charley Pride, Emmy-Lou Harris, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson, to name a few. At her celebration show, she will sing many of her hits, including Tipperary On My Mind, Flying Home To Aherlow, The Tear, September Sky, Circles, Katie Daly and All around my Hat, among others.

Guests joining her in the Shearwater Hotel next Thursday will include her great friend, the multi-award-winning singer/songwriter Derek Ryan, who will perform hits such as Hold On To Your Hat, Pick a Bale of Cotton and God’s Plan. Sandy Kelly whose moving and award-winning tribute to Patsy Cline has toured to acclaim throughout the UK and Ireland, will also perform songs including the beautiful Woodcarver, a successful duet recorded with the late, great Johnny Cash. Country legend Ray Lynam  who reigns supreme with renditions of his hits, such as Back in Love by Monday, Mona Lisa Lost her Smile and He Stopped Loving Her Today, will also feature.

John McNicholl, meanwhile will perform his memorable love songs, including You are no Angel and Someone is Looking for Someone Like You.

Energetic performer Stuart Moyles will play popular songs such as Westport Town, Streets of Galway and Little Bit of Livin’, while Dave Lawlor will bring people down memory lane with The Kingdom I call Home, Carmen, and 57 Chevrolet, backed by country band, Matrimony.

This promises to be a fun-filled, memorable celebration of Louise and her career and she’s looking forward to meeting her many fans at the event.
