Columnist and author Michael Harding will be in Galway’s Town Hall Theatre next Thursday, May 17, for an event titled All The Things Left Unsaid, based on his latest collection of essays, published last year.
For almost 50 years, the Cavan writer has been crafting words in a bid to express himself and explore the human condition. Yet, there were certain things he had never been able to say or write.
A few years ago, while recovering from surgery, he travelled to a cottage on the Donegal coast where he thought more about his life and the people who had affected him over the years: mentors, loves and old friends, including the singer, events manager and founder of Arts in Action at NUIG (UG), the late Mary McPartlan.
He wrote a series of letters that he would never post, but which have subsequently appeared in All the Things Left Unsaid, which will be the focus of next Thursday’s event.
Tickets are €24 plus booking fee from tht.ie, 091-569777 or the Town Hall Box Office.
