Cois Cladaigh choir will present their final concert of the current season this Saturday night at 8.15pm, in Galway City.
Entitled Into Unknown Worlds, it will be held in St Joseph’s Church Presentation Road, when they will be joined for the occasion by Satakieli – a new upper-voice ensemble, based in County Clare, who explore the music of the Finnish choral tradition.
Cois Cladaigh will also be performing some Nordic music, including Mia Makaroff’s Mita kaitat kivonen and Erik Esenvald’s wonderful setting of the Northern Lights, complete with handheld bells and tuned glasses.
Tickets available on the door R €20/15. Doors will open at 7.50pm with the concert starting at 8.15pm.
