Fancy getting everything you ever wanted for Christmas? The Parents Association at one Connemara National School is offering that and more – and it might just cost you a tenner!
Because Letterfrack National School Parents Association has come up with a novel fundraiser which will see one person win everything they could need for Christmas and more with their Win a Connemara Christmas competition.
They are hoping to raise €25,000 for a new playground and help with the spiralling costs of hugely popular extra curriculum activities.
With the help of many local businesses who have kindly donated prizes, they have an amazing prize that just one person will win.
So one winner who will win everything from the Christmas turkey to the tree, heating oil, books, hairstyling, day-trips, and everything else from toys to a load of relaxing dinners over the festive season.
And just to balance that, they have even organised the work-out for after the season!
“Christmas can be a tough time for people, so we wanted to help make it a little bit easier for someone, while also helping raise much needed funds for the school,” explained Siobhan Bennett, who is one of the fundraisers.
“The local businesses have all jumped on board and it really is a fabulous prize worth over €2000. With the prizes mostly being in vouchers, the winner can use them all themselves or use them as Christmas gifts,” she added.
Raffle tickets are only €10 each – and with only 2,500 on sale, the chances of winning are quite high.
The draw will take place on the day of the Late Late Toy Show – so it will be done in plenty of time for Christmas!
