A man in his 20s was arrested following the seizure of more than €30,000 worth of cocaine in Oughterard today.
The search was carried out by the Galway Divisional Drug Unit at a residence in the village.
Cocaine believed to be worth €34,000 and €2,150 in cash was seized during the search.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and he was detained by Gardaí under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He has since been released without charge. A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
