A workshop to explore preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species will take place on Saturday week May 10th in the city

It’s hosted by Galway City Council’s Biodiversity Officer Paula Kearney and takes place at Galway Rowing Club in Woodquay from 10am to 12.30pm

The trainers are Phoebe O’Brien, a well-known botanist and Dr. Fran Giaquinto, a plant ecologist who has specialised in invasive species management since 2010

Anyone interested in protecting local waterways is welcome to attend and no registration is required
