267 adults homeless in Galway as national figures hit record high

There are 267 homeless adults across Galway city and county, as Ireland hits a national high in homelessness.
The Galway figure represents a drop of around 14 percent since the start of the year, when there were 310 adults accessing emergency accommodation.

But the national figure has risen by 150 people in a month, with 14 thousand 159 people living emergency accommodation in May.
That’s a 14 per cent rise in the space of a year, and includes 4 thousand 316 children.
