GHR Consulting has announced the appointment of Michael Gilmore as Director of Recruitment. This newly created leadership role reflects the Company’s continued growth and long-term strategic ambitions.
Michael brings over 15 years of recruitment experience across Ireland, UK and the Middle East. His appointment allows the Company to expand its recruitment offering to better serve clients across its core sectors.
Before joining GHR Consulting, Michael served as Head of Talent Acquisition for a leading construction firm, where he oversaw recruitment across Operations, Commercial, and Corporate positions throughout Ireland and the UK.
Before that, he played a central role in building the team at AMAALA, a $50 billion Giga-project under the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), where he led the recruitment of over 750 roles between 2019 and 2023.
His earlier experience also includes six years based in Dubai, managing complex hiring needs in dynamic international markets.
Michael, who also played with Galway United over a decade ago, expressed his enthusiasm about the new role, saying he was excited to be joining GHR Consulting at such a pivotal time.
“The opportunity to take the next step in my career, to lead and shape the recruitment function within a forward-thinking consultancy is something I’m truly passionate about,” he said.
“I look forward to working closely with new and existing clients and helping them to source exceptional candidates to join their teams.”
Ruairi Guckian, CEO of GHR Consulting, said he was delighted to welcome Michael to the team.
“When the opportunity became available to hire him, it was a no-brainer. I’ve known Michael for several years, and his professional background, professionalism, and work ethic make him a fantastic addition to the GHR Consulting team,” he said.
Based in Galway, Michael will lead GHR Consulting’s recruitment strategy ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality talent solutions for clients both domestically and internationally.
