THE Dairy Women Ireland (DWI) Conference 2025, sponsored by FBD brought hundreds of women from across the Irish dairy sector together at the Charleville Park Hotel for a day of inspiration, learning and celebration. With the theme “Building Success, Breaking Barriers,” the event highlighted resilience, determination and the growing influence of women in agriculture and included representatives from Galway and other Connacht counties.
A diverse line-up of speakers, including MEPs Cynthia Ní Mhurchú and Maria Walsh, shared personal stories of overcoming challenges, seizing opportunities and building meaningful careers, encouraging attendees to stay open to new possibilities.
The afternoon session, facilitated by IFA Deputy President Alice Doyle, featured powerful testimonies from Shannon Porter, Imelda Kinsella and Katherine O’Leary on resilience, navigating change and finding strength in community.
This year also marked DWI’s first-ever Gala Dinner and fashion show, which sold out completely. The evening brought attendees together for celebration, connection and entertainment, with a standout fashion show showcasing style, confidence and functional farm wear from Irish brands and local boutiques.
