Boston Scientific has announced the appointment of Conor Russell as the new Vice President of Operations at its Galway site.
Originally from Wexford, Conor joined Boston Scientific in 1999 and has served in a series of leadership roles in Clonmel, Arden Hills, and California. Most recently, he spent nine years leading the Clonmel site.
Conor holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from University College Dublin and currently serves on the board of the Irish MedTech Association.
Commenting on his new position, Conor said: “Last week, I officially joined the Boston Scientific team in Galway as Site VP. It’s a role I’m excited to take on, and it’s great to be joining a site with such a rich history of innovation, growth, and collaboration.
“I’m here to listen, learn, and work together with my colleagues on continuing Galway’s success story. For our partners and external stakeholders in the greater Galway area, I’m always happy to connect and look forward to meeting many of you in the coming months.”
James Lyons, who served as Vice President of Operations in Galway for nine years, will now assume the role of global Vice President of Equipment Engineering to lead the equipment engineering organisation across the Global Supply Chain network.
