SPORTS clubs and other commercial facilities with larger grass areas to maintain have been invited to attend a Husqvarna demonstration at the Sarsfields GAA grounds in New Inn on this Saturday, May 6 (12 noon).
Organised by Whelans of Loughrea, the centrepiece of the demonstration will be Husqvarna’s robotic and silent cutting machines which can give the perfect finish to pitches and lawns – but with no labour involved.
According to Husqvarna the big advantages of the ‘remote mower’ are premium turf quality; reduced operating costs; a reduced carbon footprint; low noise emissions; and the satisfaction of a perfect playing surface.
Although there is a high initial cost with the purchase of these mowers, Whelans and Husqvarna point out that there are substantial sports grants available to buy the super-efficient and environmentally friendly grass mowers.
Husqvarna and Whelans also recommend the 2into3 Grants Team, a company which specialise in helping clubs and organisations in making a successful grant/funding application.
The 2into3 company provide advice on how best to proceed with the grant application, looking at each club’s project on an individual basis. [Patricia Keane, Head of Grants Advisory Practice can be contacted at: patricia.keenan@2into3.com].
