Iamsold – which has an online bidding and auction platform used by more 300 auctioneers across Ireland – has noted stock levels increasing gradually over the past few months.
According to the latest Daft.ie Housing Report, stock levels in Ireland are up 5% on the same date last year, however this is still on average 46% lower than the average 2019 figures.
The report also revealed that overall, property prices have decreased by 0.5% year on year, the first time the market has had a year on year decrease since 2020.
That said, prices are still up 2.4% from the first quarter of this year, indicating that they are still performing well, although the market has cooled significantly when compared to previous years.
Sales Manager with iamsold, Shane May, told Tribune Property: “Demand for properties remains strong, with buyers still eager to secure their ideal home. With stock levels remaining lower than we would like to see, there is still strong competition on properties, and we are seeing the prices being achieved on the platform remaining strong.”
iamsold is now taking entries for its upcoming online auctions taking place on July 20 and September 7.
