MICHEÁL Donoghue’s second coming as Galway hurling team manager will have its first public airing at Duggan Park, Ballinasloe on Sunday week (2pm)
For the Tribesmen will be hosting Laois in a challenge game to raise funds for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The following Saturday, Galway will continue their preparations for the National League with another challenge outing, this time against All-Ireland champions Clare at the Wolfe Tones GAA Grounds (2pm).
On this Saturday, there will be a Meet & Greet session with the Galway hurlers from 11:30am at An Spidéal’s GAA pitch in aid of the RNLI and the Galway Sub Aqua Club.
Galway are currently carrying an extended squad of around 50, but it doesn’t include 2017 All-Ireland winners, Adrian Tuohey, Gearóid McInerney and Joseph Cooney, who has retired.
