Skirmante O’Hagan never imagined she would end in a town in the west of Ireland. The Lithuanian former model turned fashion designer and Instagrammer admits it took her a few good years to adapt to Ballinasloe life.
“But I found peace and quiet here, there are many beautiful walks that are so good for your soul,” she smiles.
Under the Instagram page @s.ohagan_stylediary, she shares fabulous pictures of herself in outfits she has styled – and even a few she has designed over the years.
With 6,646 followers, she is some way off from making a lot of money from her page, but it allows her to express herself creatively and indulge her passion in fashion. Her aim is to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone.
Skirmante started the page in 2020 after following other influencers posting fashion tips and trends and thought this is something right up her alley.
“Around that time, I also started designing various clothing pieces which I would then try to make at home. I loved the designing process but felt I needed guidance to move it forward so enrolled for a fashion design course in the Dublin Institute for Design,” she reveals.
“I loved this course and how it helped me tap into my creativity and channel it in a focused way to design specific pieces. I love an edgy and feminine style that reflects my personality.”
