Registration is now open for the annual Galway Hospice Croagh Patrick Climb, which gets underway at 9.30am on Saturday, June 17.
This year, a special memorial service will take place at St Patrick’s Chapel at the top of the Reek at 11.30am to remember loved ones.
“The Croagh Patrick Climb for Galway Hospice has always been much more than just a climb,” said Galway Hospice Chaplain David Cribbin.
“As well as being a wonderful fundraising challenge for hospice care, it’s an opportunity for people to come together to remember much-missed family, friends and colleagues. Our memorial service this year is a chance to take time at the top of the Reek to celebrate and reflect together,” he added.
The registration fee for the Croagh Patrick Climb is €25, which includes a special technical t-shirt and refreshments after the Climb. Everyone who takes part in the Climb is asked to fundraise to support Galway Hospice’s work – and all who raise more than €50 will be entered into a special draw for a voucher for Utah.ie.
A bus sponsored by Citylink will leave Galway Hospice at 7.15am on June 17. Bus places are limited, pre-booking is essential, call or message 087-1933032.
You can register now for the Galway Hospice Croagh Patrick Climb at galwayhospice.ie/climb or call Fundraising on 091-770868.
