Roscommon singer-songwriter Ciara Lawless is releasing her new pop single, No Rain, No Flowers, this Friday, April 12, taken from her forthcoming debut album, Paint My Soul, due to be launched on Friday, April 26.
No Rain, No Flowers was written by LA-based Myah Marie and Irish songwriter Oisin Browne. Myah Marie has previously worked with Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Lil Wayne, and Selena Gomez.
Ciara describes the number as “a catchy, upbeat, fun pop song about resilience, hope, and growth in the face of adversity”, saying the song will appeal to fans of Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Australian singer-songwriter Sia.
Ciara’s musical journey began when she started taking classes in acting and singing as a child. Later, she developed an interest in classical and opera, training at the Academy of Music in Tullamore, where she also competed in national and international competitions.
Ciara who is the community radio officer for Rosfm 94.6 community radio in Roscommon town, also works a funeral singer, a job she regards as a privilege.
