THERE was a huge turnout for last Sunday’s Tractor Run from Lackagh in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.
The Tractor Run was initiated by Cathy and David Rabbitte, from Grange, Turloughmore, whose baby daughter Caoimhe was cared for in the hospital during the early weeks of her life and who has since made a great recovery.
Her family were also delighted to avail of the Ronald McDonald House facility on the hospital grounds where they stayed with their two older children during Caoimhe’s period of treatment.
Flynn’s of Lackagh were also heavily involved in the Tractor Run which saw tractors and trucks coming from all parts of the county to take part in what was a highly successful fundraising venture for the hospital and the associated family accommodation facility.
Earlier this week, the organisers confirmed that they had raised €18,315, close to double their initial target figure, and that amount could go higher as donations continue to be made for what is an exceptionally good cause.
Anyone wishing to donate to the causes can do so at the idonate website under the Tractor Road Run in aid of Ronald McDonald House and Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
