A sitting of the Central Criminal Court in Tralee has heard how a man pleaded with one of his alleged killers before he died.
The body of Bruno Lemes De Sousa, from Gort, was discovered on March 11th last year in Shronowen Bog, Tullamore, Listowel.
20 year old John-Paul Cawley and 29 year old Wenio Rodriguez Da Silva, both with an address at 2 Ardoughter, Ballyduff, County Kerry are accused of murdering the 28 year old on a date unknown between February 16th and March 10th last year.
Man in his 40s dies following road collision in Tuam
A man in his 40s has died following a road collision in Co Galway.
The incident, involving a pedestrian and a car, happened on the N83 at Cahervoley, Cummer near Tuam, shortly after 12.30 am.
The man was taken from the scene to University Hospital Galway where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, did not require hospital treatment.
The road remains closed for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are currently in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available.

Death announced of former Bishop of Galway
The death has occurred of the former Bishop of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora Martin Drennan, six years after he announced his retirement on health grounds. He was aged 78.
The Galway Diocesan Office confirmed the death this (Saturday) afternoon of the Bishop and Apostolic Administrator Emeritus, who oversaw the Diocese for eleven years.
Born on January 2, 1944 in Piltown, County Kilkenny, he studied for the priesthood at Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth, from where he was ordained to the priesthood in 1968. His brother Michael is also a priest.
Following his ordination, he continued his studies in Rome where he was awarded a Licentiate in both sacred theology and sacred scripture. He returned to Rome in 1980 to become spiritual director at the Pontifical Irish College for the next five years.
He became a lecturer in sacred scripture at Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth, where he continued to teach until his appointment as Auxiliary Bishop of Dublin in 1997 with responsibility for East Wicklow and South Dublin.
Following the retirement of Bishop James McLoughlin, Bishop Drennan was appointed Bishop of Galway and Kilmacduagh and Apostolic Administrator of Kilfenora and he was installed on July 3, 2005 in Galway Cathedral.
Gardai seeking the public’s help in the search for missing Clonbur Man
Gardai have launched an appeal for information regarding a missing Galway man.
Michael Harte, who is 66 and from Clonbur, has been missing since Thursday last.
He is described as being 5′ 9″ in height, of slim build with short grey hair.
When last seen, Michael was wearing blue jeans, a blue jumper, a tan/khaki padded jacket, and tan boots.
Michael is also understood to have access to a black Renault Megane with a 02 C registration.
