From this week’s Galway City Tribune – Two landmark pubs are up for sale in the city centre, with substantial guest accommodation above both.
Richardsons, which is on the market for €3m, could prove to be one of the final pieces in the jigsaw of the Eyre Square East portfolio of around 30 properties steadily purchased by the Comer and McHale Groups.
The row of properties as far as Forster Street is earmarked for a new city quarter, with an ambition in the current City Development Plan to draw up a masterplan for the area.
It was put up for sale during the lockdown and attracted substantial interest before being withdrawn, according to real estate agent handling the sale for O’Donnellan and Joyce, Shane McDonagh
The Galway Arms Inn, at the corner of Dominick Street Lower, Mill Street and Bridge Street, has been put up for sale for €1m.
