Menopause The Musical 2 – Cruising Through the Menopause – is coming to the city’s Town Hall Theatre next Tuesday, March 18, as part of its final tour of Ireland and the UK.
In Cruising Through Menopause the action has moved on five years from the original hit show, as it catches up with the same four characters. They share tales of their lives, loves and losses as they set sail on the high seas.
The cast is headed up by Maureen Nolan (of the Nolan sisters), along with Carli Norris (Hollyoaks, Doctors, EastEnders), Rebecca Wheatley (Casualty) and Daniele Coombe (known for her work in West End shows).
This is a show filled with parody hit songs about hot flushes, memory loss and ageing gracefully – or not – as it offers a hilarious, heartfelt, unflinching and reassuring look at the joys of menopause and friendship.
These four characters show that menopause is the beginning of a new era in life and, like every other phase of life, it’s one in which good friends can get each other through the hardest of times.
The show is for 16+ and there are two performances next Tuesday, at 5.30pm and at 8.30pm. Tickets at €32.50, plus €1 booking fee, are now on sale at tht.ie, by phone at 091-569777 or at the Town Hall box office.
