With the grand auld stretch starting to rise up like the return of a wonderful friend, it’s time to check out what’s in store sartorially for Spring Summer 2025.
The new collection from a brand designed in Ireland but manufactured in Italy and sold in five leading Galway boutiques is landing this week and gives a good indication of what we can expect in shops this season.
The creative team behind the Peruzzi label — Linda McDermott, Sinead Robinson and Marc O’Rourke — summarised their inspiration: “SS25 collection captures the lightness and ease of summer through airy fabrics, artistic prints, vibrant colour palettes and refined design details. The designs embody a sense of effortless summer dressing, with standout themes including Matisse-inspired prints, hand-drawn monotone designs, metallic accents and innovative modern tech fabrics.
“These elements come together to offer versatile and elevated looks, perfect for the modern wardrobe”.
Sold in the Style Kloset Boutique Galway, Standún in Spiddal, Hehirs of Clifden, Pat Smyth Fashions Gort and Kathleen’s Fashions in Ballinasloe, Peruzzi features natural fabrics such as viscose linens, cotton Broderie anglaise, satin viscose and easy to wear viscose jersey. Silhouettes are light and easy from simple column dress silhouettes to linen layering pieces.
“We create refined pieces with a twist, and we aim for the feelgood factor. Clothes to enhance not eclipse the wearer. We work as much as possible with natural fabrics which allow the body and the planet to breathe.”
Peruzzi is part of the Fashion Hse company, a fourth-generation business which began making clothes in Dublin in 1933. The group operates seven Choice Boutiques in Dublin, Kilkenny and Clonmel, selling its own brands Peruzzi and Art as well as other European and Irish brands such as Naya, Ora and Smashed Lemon.
Visit www.fashionhse.com/peruzzi to check out the full collection or visit any of the five Galway boutiques for sizes ranging from 8 – 20.
