Conor Burke has become the second Solidarity People Before Profit candidate to be eliminated in Galway City East.
Burke was knocked-out on the sixth count, and his 186 votes will now be redistributed as count seven gets underway.
The biggest beneficiary in the sixth count, which was the redistribution of 169 votes of Aontú’s Cormaic Ó Corcoráin was Jacinta Gibbons.
Gibbons, The Irish People Party, took 42 transfers off Ó Corcoráin, helping her to leapfrog Burke to stay in the race for another count.
The seventh count is underway.
A first count in City Central is due soon.
