Galway Bay fm newsroom – The second National Patient Experience Survey is now live at University Hospital Galway and Portiuncula Hospital.
The survey, which is the largest of its kind in Ireland, gives patients the opportunity to share their experiences of hospital care to help identify what is working well and where improvements are needed.
An estimated 28,000 patients across the country will be eligible to take part in this year’s survey.
Participants will be asked a total of 61 questions on topics such as confidence and trust in hospital staff, care and treatment on the ward, hospital food, and the provision of information and support upon discharge.
The survey can be completed either online or in paper form.
Refusal of Clifden housing development appealed to An Bord Pleanala
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The refusal of a housing development in Clifden has been appealed to An Bord Pleanala.
The project, led by TML Properties, would see 27 homes constructed at St. Anne’s Road on the north side of the town.
County planners turned down the proposals in October, citing concerns over the potential impact on the local habitat.
That decisions been appealed to An Bord Pleanala, with a decision due in March.
TD Mairéad Farrell calls for an election in place of planned Taoiseach handover
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Local TD Mairéad Farrell is calling for an election, instead of the planned handover between Michael Martin and Leo Varadkar.
On December 17th, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar will return to the Taoiseach position, taking over from Micheal Martin, as part of the planned cabinet reshuffle.
