Science of Women’s health in focus at Black Box

Galway Science and Technology Festival will present an event at the city’s Black Box Theatre next month, focusing on The Science of Women’s Health.
This evening will feature experts in medicine, nutrition, breathing, fitness and physiotherapy, who will explore women’s health through science-based insights and practical interventions.
Speakers will include Professor Mary Ryan, Consultant Physician, Endocrinologist and bestselling author of The Menopause, who will share her expertise on hormones, heart health and disease prevention.
Moycullen-based Patrick McKeown, internationally renowned breathing coach and author of The Breathing Cure, will focus on the role of breathing and sleep in managing menopause symptoms.
Anne Murray, founder of Sláinte Wellness, will present her evidence-based approach to nutrition and women’s health, while Jessica Cooke, fitness coach and host of the I’m Done, Now What? podcast, will share her strategies for lasting fitness and wellbeing.
Finally, Orlaith Kilgannon, specialist physiotherapist and founder of Pelvic Health West, will explore the impact of hormonal changes on pelvic and muscular health.
These diverse speakers will provide knowledge and tools to help women maximise their health at every stage of life.
Julie Burke who, as Julesrulesirl, has more than 180k followers across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, will be the MC.
This event is taking on Wednesday, November 12, at the Black Box.
