Locals in Craughwell are planning to submit a preservation order for the lands of Moyode Woods to save them from being turned into a quarry.
Residents have been told by Coillte that they’re selling the 175 acre wood to make way for a quarry development.
A public meeting was held in Craughwell last night to oppose Coillte’s plans.
