Repossessed properties removed from city auction

Four properties in the city and county have been removed from a city auction today to avoid protest scenes such as the ones that took place at an auction in the city yesterday.

The DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard public auction of 10 properties is getting underway at the Imperial Hotel at 3 this afternoon.

They have been in negotiation with the committee who protested at the O’ Donnellan & Joyce auction at the Harbour Hotel yesterday.

The group is trying to disrupt and boycott auctions where family repossessed homes are being sold.

DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard have been authorised by the bank to remove 4 properties from their auction this afternoon.

It’s understood the protestors are satisfied with this.

The auction is getting underway around now with a mixture of retail, commercial and residential properties in the city and county up for sale.
