A public meeting will take place in Clifden this evening to discuss the rural housing crisis, as well as population decline.
It’s hosted by Connemara Chamber and takes place at the Alcock and Brown Hotel at 8pm.
It’ll discuss the findings of a major housing and planning survery carried out by the chamber earlier this year – and look at potential solutions to the major challenges.
There’ll be a range of speakers, including consultants, policy experts and representatives of farming groups.
Politicians and general election candidates will also be given time to speak, and members of the public will have a chance to ask questions.
