Plans for a ‘Pregnancy Loss Garden’ in Salthill are progressing and will go to tender in the coming weeks.
Galway City Council is advancing the plans that are being driven by former Mayor of Galway, Councillor Clodagh Higgins (FG).
The location of the neonatal and stillbirth loss garden has been agreed and will be within an area at Quincentennial Park, which is already home to the beautiful Circle of Life national organ donor commemorative garden.
Féileacáin, the Neonatal and Stillbirth Association of Ireland, was consulted to discuss the suitability of the location.
