Pedestrian killed in hit and run in Galway
A woman in her 80s died following a hit and run in Oranmore on Friday evening.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the collision which happened on the Old Limerick Road at around 5.05pm.
The female pedestrian, aged in her 80s, was struck by a car and the driver failed to remain at the scene.
She was taken to University Hospital Galway where she later died.
The Old Limerick Road is currently closed for an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.  Local diversions are in place and the road is expected to remain closed until tomorrow, Saturday. Investigations are ongoing.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Oranmore area between 4.30pm and 5z30pm is asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
