The summer season from the Oughterard Courthouse Arts Programme (OCAP) will be launched next Friday, June 14, with Endless Horizons, a group show from the uachtarARTS group.
County Galway Arts Officer James Harrold, will open the event, which is the first of four exhibitions being held in the courthouse between now and early August.
Endless Horizons will showcase the work of 37 artists and members of the uachtarARTS group, who have been meeting on a weekly basis throughout the year to share their work, skills and process. The exhibition will run until Sunday, June 23, and all are welcome.
Beure is the title of the second show in the Summer Programme. It’s a joint show featuring Mullingar artists Emma Carter and Rachel Coyne and will run from June 28 until July 7. The NOVA Contemporary Art Collective will showcase their work in Shadowpraise, an exhibition about darkness and light, that will run from July 12 to 21, and this year’s programme will conclude with a solo exhibition from acclaimed artist Richard Ward, running from July 26 until August 4.
The group extends its thanks to Galway County Council and Oughterard Courthouse for their continued support and is inviting people to visit the exhibitions throughout the summer.
The Courthouse Gallery will be opened Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sundays from 12pm to 5pm. For further information contact oughterardcap@gmail.com or visit www.ocap.ie.
