A 20 year old mother of one has been jailed at Galway District Court for seven months for being involved in what the Judge called a rose selling "racket".
Anna Mirabella Armean, a Romanian with an address at 205a Lurgan Park, Renmore, pleaded guilty to handling two mobile phones knowing they were stolen on June 1 last year.
The "racket" involved gangs of rose sellers distracting young women coming out of nightclubs while other gang members steal their handbags and mobile phones.
