A man in his 50s has died following a crash in east Galway this morning.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a collision between two vehicles that occurred on the N65 at Moyleen, near Loughrea, at approximately 7.30am.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 50s, was taken to University Hospital Galway, where he later passed away.
The second driver, a male in his late teens, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road remains closed to allow for a technical examination to be conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward or to those who may have dash-cam footage.
