A local MEP says Europe cannot rest on its laurels after a landmark ruling on same-sex marriage.

It’s after the European Court of Justice ruled that they must be recognised by all EU countries.

The case involved two Polish citizens legally married in Germany, who were refused recognition of their marriage back in Poland.

Local MEP Maria Walsh says it’s an important ruling – but there’s still strong anti-LGBT sentiment in some EU countries.
