Two of Galway’s finest share the stage with a host of stellar musical stars when the fifth instalment of Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse returns on November 13.
Singer/songwriter Niamh Regan – fresh from the critically-acclaimed success of her second album, Come As You Are – and former TG4 Young Musician of the Year Pádraic Keane join a line-up that also includes the Mary Wallopers, Just Mustard, Tolü Makay and SOAK.
Marking the start of winter at St. James’s Gate, this memorable night of intimate performances will be hosted by Fight Like Apes frontwoman, MayKay with a limited number of free tickets being released next Tuesday, October 29, at 12 noon.
From Uilleann pipes, pop soul, rock and more, the night will bring a diverse set of voices, genres and sounds to the audience for a night to remember.
It’s another highlight in a busy year for Kilrickle’s Niamh Regan, whose debut album Hemet announced her arrival as one of the most distinctive songwriters in Ireland today.
Earning nominations for both the RTE Folk Awards and the Choice Awards album of the year, the album received soaring praise and led to performances on the Late Late Show and Other Voices.
Her second album, Come As You Are, builds on that, again laying bear her thoughts on life, love and relationships.
Uilleann piper Pádraic Keane hails from Maree and was born into a great musical family. The TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2011 is a tutor at many music festivals in Ireland and abroad. He recently released his acclaimed solo piping album entitled In Full Tune.
Other Voices founder Philip King promised ‘a great night for all the musicians taking part, for those joining us in the room, and for those watching live and online around the world’.
“We are delighted to be able to collapse distance and bring everyone together for this wonderful occasion, and it’s just great that this year an exclusively Irish line-up will take to the stage at the home of Guinness in the heart of the Liberties,” he said.
Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse takes place live and online on Wednesday, November 13, at 7.30pm. The livestream will be available on the Guinness Storehouse and Other Voices social media channels.
A limited number of free tickets will be available next Tuesday at 12pm from https://www.guinness-storehouse.com/en/visit/other-voices.
