Toyota Ireland has announced that the legendary Land Cruiser is back, with an all-new commercial model hitting the Irish roads and countryside next month.
The order book is now open for the Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial, which was unveiled on these shores at the 2024 National Ploughing Championships, and has prices starting from €57,192 (ex VAT). The new model.
The new exterior design pays homage to the classic Land Cruiser: as the first all-new model in 15 years, this latest version combines retro aesthetics with cutting-edge technology and raw power, making it a standout choice for drivers tackling rugged, off-road terrain.
The Land Cruiser is renowned among Irish farmers, adventurers, and motoring enthusiasts for its quality, durability, and reliability. Toyota says the all-new model enhances these attributes with a powerful 2.8L diesel engine, a redesigned turbocharger, and an advanced eight-speed automatic transmission, ensuring a smoother and more efficient driving experience both on and off-road.
The Land Cruiser can now tow up to 3.5 tonnes (matching the towing capacity of the Toyota Hilux). Designed to be the ideal companion for drivers moving heavy loads, managing a farm, or working in rugged terrain, the commercial model is set to be a hit in Ireland yet again.
The introduction of electric power steering replaces the former hydraulic system, improving off-road handling while enabling lane assist as part of Toyota’s renowned Safety Sense system.
Other highlights include a 2.8l diesel engine, max power of 204hp; CO₂ Emissions (WLTP) of 278g/km and fuel consumption (Combined WLTP) of 10.6 L/100km; and acceleration from zero to 100km/h in 12 seconds.
Interior highlights include 9” / 12.3” touchscreen infotainment system; adaptive cruise control for effortless motorway driving; 7” / 12.3” coloured TFT information display; dual-zone climate control; front ventilated and heated seats; smart entry and digital key; and power backdoor and opening rear tailgate window.
The cockpit ensures seamless connectivity between your car and smartphone via the MyToyota App, allowing drivers to check trip data and even control remote air conditioning. Additionally, the Land Cruiser comes with Wireless Smartphone Integration (Apple CarPlay™ & Android Auto™), a rear-view camera with washer, and front & rear parking sensors for enhanced safety.
“The Land Cruiser has long been a symbol of resilience, reliability, and adventure, and this all-new model takes those qualities to the next level,” said Zoë Bradley, Head of Marketing Communications and Corporate Affairs in Toyota Ireland.
“Blending modern-retro styling with advanced technology and improved performance, the next-generation Land Cruiser is designed to take on everything Ireland throws its way—from farm tracks to rugged backroads.
“Loyal fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Commercial model, with pre-orders already rolling in. Demand is expected to grow, so we encourage customers to order early to avoid disappointment,” she said.
The new model comes with a three-year/100,000km manufacturer’s warranty; a three-year/unlimited mileage surface rust/paintwork warranty; and a 12-year/unlimited mileage corrosion perforation warranty
