From this week's Galway City Tribune
From this week’s Galway City Tribune – A brave Kerry football fan has erected green and gold flags outside his workplace – in the heart of Galway City.
Donncha Foley, from Tralee, decorated the Galway Volunteer Centre with Kerry flags ahead of Sunday’s Ireland Final to troll the locals.
The manager of the centre is a huge Kerry GAA supporter and was making his presence felt on William Street West, back the West.
“It’s nice to be in an All-Ireland playing a team where you live. My partner is from Mayo, so I had to be sensitive about these things when it came to Mayo but I’m going for it this week and trying to troll as many Galway people as possible,” he joked.
Donncha is looking forward to making the trip to Croke Park.
“I played football until I was about twelve but that was it. I did play for the Salthill Junior C team last year but that was for about five minutes; they were very, very desperate!”
