It’s that time of year again! The Corrandulla Show, one of the biggest outdoor events in the west of Ireland, will be officially launched in Peggy’s Bar & Restaurant, Aucloggeen on Thursday, May 30 at 8pm.
Traditionally one of the biggest and most popular agricultural shows in the country, attracting over 10,000 people to the village on the fourth Sunday of June each year, Corrandulla is a great example of a modern country show.
As well as the regular show activities, this year’s Corrandulla Show, taking place on Sunday, June 23, will provide free children’s entertainment; an extensive selection of market stalls; a funfair; as well as lots of other novelties for young and old alike.
Show Schedules are now available with details of all the competitions and events on offer. If you haven’t entered before take a look at the schedule, you will surely find something to tickle your fancy! As usual there will be an extensive Cattle Show, a Dog & Pet Show, extended Poultry & Egg Section, Machinery displays, a Sheaf Throwing competition, a Fun Fair, Home baking, Arts & Crafts and Photography classes for all ages. In addition to the Bonny Baby show, there will be a Little Miss and Little Mister competition for children aged 3 to 5 years. There will certainly be ample entertainment for all the family.
Corrandulla show also hosts a huge variety of events including Connemara Pony Classes, both In-Hand and Ridden, Horse & Pony Jumping including the Connacht Grand Prix and the Harrington Group Puissance, both competitions are a huge draw for both competitors and audience alike.
